POWER IN CONNECTION: CULTIVATING SAFE AND AUTHENTIC SPACES
AATC understands the lack of on-going support for mental health professionals, particularly black professionals. AATC is here to fill that void by providing quality professional development services such as support groups, workshops, and professional development content. Below are some of the benefits of joining our network.
AATC aims to provide an opportunity for mental health clinicians that want an ongoing process group experience. Within this group themes such as burnout/compassion fatigue, finances and money management/mindsets, imposter syndrome, racial identity within the workplace, productivity, and other issues related to being mental health clinicians are explored. The purpose of the group is to create a safe and honest space for black therapist to process and explore meaningful issues and concerns. It is not a therapy group, yet the boundaries /norms of confidentiality are observed. Members are encouraged to bring into the group anything that is meaningful to their experience as a therapist and as a human being.
Meetings are held virtually for 90 minutes.
Our workshops are designed to provide participants with the opportunity to increase their awareness of mental health and develop new skills that can enhance personal, professional and social well-being. Join us for interactive, informative, and fulfilling discussions on various topics such as stress management, coping skills, and other mental health and wellness topics.
